The business world is a shark tank, especially when you’re a woman. You’re either:

  • Swimming like crazy.
  • Innovating like a dolphin on steroids.
  • Or ending up as chum for the big dogs.

When I started my business as a mindfulness coach I used to be so naive. I had a decent program and at the same time I believed that I could make it big.

But it didn’t take long before the market reality hit me like a rogue wave. Established players towered over me. Their brands etched in consumers’ minds like barnacles on a ship.

Feeling like a floundering fish, I searched for every scrap of growth strategy I could find. That’s when I came across this game changing advice from Elon Musk:

“If you’re entering an existing market, be much better than your competitors. Don’t be slightly better. Why would someone choose you over a trusted brand?”
